ZipTip — Terms of Service

1. Service description

ZipTip lets a merchant define delivery zones by postal-code prefix and renders a storefront widget that tells customers whether the merchant delivers to their address, the expected delivery date, and any surcharge. Optional features include CSV bulk import, an out-of-zone waitlist, and Shopify customer tagging.

2. Acceptable use

• The merchant is solely responsible for the accuracy of zone data, delivery promises, surcharges, and blackout dates.
• The merchant must not use the Service to mislead customers, hide delivery exclusions in violation of consumer law, or bypass Shopify's acceptable use policies.
• Reasonable usage limits apply. Rate limits enforced by Shopify (e.g. GraphQL points/sec) and the Service's own infrastructure must be respected.

3. Subscription and billing

Pricing is shown inside the app on the Plan & Billing page. Subscription charges are processed by Shopify Billing. The merchant authorises Shopify to charge the listed amount according to the chosen interval (monthly or annual) until the subscription is cancelled. Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods. Test charges issued on Shopify development stores are not real charges.

4. Plan limits

The Free plan is limited to one active delivery zone. Pro and Annual plans allow unlimited zones, CSV import, waitlist capture, customer tagging, and the option to hide the "Powered by ZipTip" badge from the storefront widget. Free plan stores will continue to display the badge regardless of any UI toggle.

5. Data and privacy

Zone configuration is stored in the merchant's own shop metafields. Authentication tokens, plan tier, and waitlist entries are stored in the Service's database. See the Privacy Policy for full details and your GDPR rights.

6. Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided "as-is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service's operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost sales, lost data, or business interruption. Aggregate liability is limited to the fees the merchant paid in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

7. Termination

The merchant may uninstall ZipTip from the Shopify admin at any time. Upon uninstall the access token is revoked and Shopify dispatches a shop/redact webhook 48 hours later. ZipTip deletes the merchant's remaining records when the redact webhook fires. The Service's operator may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or Shopify's policies, with or without notice for serious violations.

8. Changes

These Terms may be updated as the Service evolves. Material changes will be communicated through the Shopify admin or via email to the store's owner email on file. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
